Overview

Nestled in the heart of Paris at 34 Rue de Richelieu, Le Festival is a charming falafel restaurant that embodies the vibrant spirit of Middle Eastern cuisine. As you step inside this cozy spot, the warm hospitality of the owner immediately sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. Known for his kindness and genuine care, he ensures every guest feels welcome — a quality that reviews repeatedly highlight.

The menu is a delightful celebration of vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes, with mezze platters, falafel, and freshly made sandwiches taking center stage. The Formule Festival offers a curated selection for those eager to sample multiple dishes in one go, while the Vegetarian Plate caters perfectly to plant-based diners looking for fresh and satisfying options. A standout item, the Chausson Au Fromage, adds a French twist to the Mediterranean fare, melding flaky pastry with savory cheese in a way that complements the other robust flavors.

Le Festival’s location in the 1st arrondissement offers a charming escape amidst the bustling streets of Paris, perfect for locals and tourists seeking authentic yet affordable fare. The space itself is modest, emphasizing the simplicity and freshness of the food rather than elaborate decor. This understated setting directs all attention to the vibrant flavors and quality ingredients on the plate.

What truly elevates Le Festival beyond just a meal is the thoughtful, personal touch from the owner. Guests often remark on his attentive nature and readiness to accommodate, even during unexpected visits after hours. This approachability, combined with freshly prepared dishes like shawarma and hummus served alongside crisp Lebanese salads, crafts a joyful and inclusive atmosphere ideal for casual diners, vegetarians, and anyone craving honest, homemade tastes.

For those who appreciate culinary authenticity without pretense, Le Festival represents a hidden gem. Its fusion of Middle Eastern staples with Parisian charm and a welcoming host results in a dining destination that’s as much about community as it is about flavor. A satisfying stop for anyone wanting to experience the heart of falafel and mezzes in the City of Light.

I didn't read the hours on the door. I popped in and just learned on Google the place was technically closed. The owner is the nicest man. He was cleaning but stopped to serve me. The food was delicious and he packed it up for me to go. I couldn't finish it all. I got a bottle of red wine to go. Vegan options, fresh and delicious.

A hidden gem in Paris! The shopkeeper was incredibly polite and went out of his way to help me find a nearby park where I could enjoy the falafel I ordered. The food was absolutely delicious - fresh, flavorful, and truly satisfying. As a day traveler, finding such kindness and amazing food in one spot felt rare. Highly recommended for both the taste and the hospitality!
